Meet the Artist

Hi! My name is Lauren, a pet portrait and wildlife artist based in East Lothian, Scotland. As a former vet nurse, I love creating bespoke artworks that capture the personality and spirit of our animals.

I believe animals are so deserving of our love and respect, and I enjoy learning more about my portrait subjects from the many stories their owners have.

Starting a new drawing of a badger has given me a newfound love for them 🦡💕 I've never seen one in the wild before, so studying this one has been lovely. The body shape and face is so unique, especially the nose which took me a while to get my head around. There are so many tiny details in the reference, I love the reflective eyes and (eventually) lots of whiskers! #badger #wildlifeart #wildlifeartist #scottishwildlife #colouredpencilart
