Meet the Artist

Hi! My name is Lauren, I'm a 24 year old artist based in East Lothian, Scotland. I have always loved animals, art and colour pencils, so I started creating pet portraits in 2018 and have been drawing commissions for family and friends ever since.

I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2023 and took a break from drawing for a while. I experienced the care and love that people feel for their pets, and know firsthand how they aren’t just animals, they are members of the family.

I loved working with animals, and had some amazing and emotional experiences in that field, but missed pursuing my art dreams. So I started Lauren's Prints in 2025 to return to my passion!

My goal is to create meaningful, life-like artworks that capture animal personalities and quirks. Whether as a gift or a memorial piece, I aim to reflect how important our animals are in our lives.

In my spare time you can usually find me curled up with a good book and a cup of tea, spending time with my rescue cat Piper. Otherwise, I’ll be out and about exploring East Lothian.
